We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

we were liarsWe Were Liars by E. Lockhart

About: Spending the summers on her family’s private island off the coast of Massachusetts with her cousins and a special boy named Gat, teenaged Cadence struggles to remember what happened during her fifteenth summer.

Why I loved this book: From the very beginning of this story you can tell there is something off about Cadence. At first you think it has to do with this accident that has caused her to have all sorts of physical problems from debilitating headaches to memory loss. As you keep reading you start to think there has to be something more to the story. I liked reading about a family so completely different than mine and trying to figure out the mystery of what happened to Cadence during that forgotten summer.  The truth is shocking and unforgettable—you definitely need to keep going all the way to the end on this one.

If after you finish the book you find you are a tad obsessed and can’t get enough of the Sinclairs, you are not alone. There is a solution to your suffering! Visit e. Lockhart’s tumblr feed complete with map, family tree, pinnable imagery, and more at http://wewereliarsbook.tumblr.com/.
